Not sure if you, know but when I'm not blogging about the latest coffee shop I'm in love with, I spend my days and nights with my lovely music career. So with getting lost in that, in addition to the holidays, I totally missed my November 22nd 1 year anniversary/birthday of The Coffee Housing. So I decided to write a post to commemorate the year I drank the most coffee ever and what this blog means to me.
This blog started out just as me taking a bunch of pictures on my new iPhone, realizing that I take tons of pictures of food, coffee especially. I was slowly growing more and more addicted to going to coffee shops. Each one is unique and has it's own quirks and eccentricities just like we do as people. Even chain coffee shops have employees that distinctly represent whatever part of the country you're in. People from all walks of life are there, young, old, entrepreneurs, establish business people, random people meeting for a craigslist deal...the possibilities are endless. And my business partner suggested to me, why don't you start a blog? You've got all of these damn pictures. I'm sure he was thinking more of a Tumblr or something simple but I thought it would be fun to chronicle my coffee house findings as I travel to perform in different cities around the States (and internationally, soon!).
This is a labor of love. No deadlines, no pressures, just me, a camera, and some food and drink that I think is great. I'm not sure how many people are out there reading this, but I hope you try some of the places I go to and even if not, I hope you are inspired to try new things. Go places you've never been and experience something familiar in a place unfamiliar. Or, hell, just dive into a completely new experience where you don't know anything at all!
I hope you enjoy my blog and thanks for reading. :) Feel free to drop me a line in the comments or on Twitter/Instagram. Happy Holidays and yaaaayyyyy Happy Birthday to The Coffee Housing!
